Cut Your Own Christmas Tree in an Arizona National Forest

If you are from Arizona, here is a great chance to get a fresh Christmas tree for $10. The commercial trees are cut 2 - 4 weeks before you select them. This is your chance to grab a fresh Christmas tree for a 1/3 of the commercial price.

Trees can be cut in the Apache-Sitgreaves, Kaibab, Prescott and Tonto national forests. Last year, the Forest Service received 5,100 applications for 4,500 permits. This year, 4,850 permits will be issued. Picard advises permit-seekers to specify up to six preferred areas when filling out their applications to increase their chances of being chosen.

Not just for the cheap price, but you can make this a special Christmas event as well for your family.
